Charity Champagne Cancer Research

The Mayor of Cowbridge ( Ancient Borough) with Llanblethian Town Council Cllr Siân Vaughan with her consort Mr Rob Vaughan hosted a Champagne and Canapes Event to raise money for Cancer Research Wales on the 7th May 2022. The sun shone and a grand total of £870 was raised. The event was attended by the Vale Mayor Cllr Jayne Norman and her consort Cllr Margaret Wilkinson, the Deputy Mayor and Mayoress Cllr John and Mrs Anna Andrew, Fellow Councillors , friends and family. In addition to the sparkling drinks a barrel of beer was donated by a donor that wishes to remain anonymous. Wonderful raffle prizes were donated by Waitrose , Tesco , W G Davies newsagents , Vale Mayor and Consort, Cancer Research Wales Staff, friends and family and money donations were received from friends that could not attend on the day . Everyone present enjoyed the event and had a great time raising money for such a good cause.

Mayors Coffee Morning for Cancer Research Wales

The Mayor of Cowbridge (Ancient Borough) with Llanblethian Town Council Cllr Siân Vaughan and her consort Mr Rob Vaughan hosted a coffee morning in the Mayor’s parlour on Saturday 25th Sept 2021 at 10.30am in aid of Cancer Research Wales. The event was very well supported and a total of £319 was raised for the charity. Those present enjoyed home make cakes and good company. Thank you to all those who made cakes for the event and donated raffle prizes. Thanks also to Mike Wilcock for the photographs.

 

Christmas coffee morning in aid of Cancer Research Wales

The Mayor of Cowbridge (Ancient Borough) with Llanblethian Town Council  Cllr Siân Vaughan and her consort Rob Vaughan hosted a Christmas coffee morning in aid of Cancer Research Wales in the Mayor’s Parlour Cowbridge Town Hall on Sat 11th Dec. The Mayor was delighted to be joined by 3 previous Mayors including Cllr Gwen Baty BEM, Peter Knap, Cllr Alec Trousdell and the current Deputy Mayor and Mayoress Cllr John Andrew and Anna Andrew. A grand total of £270 was raised. Thank you to all those that attended,  wore Christmas jumpers, donated money in absence, donated raffle prizes and made cakes. The next one will be on Sat 5th Feb 2022 if  Coronavirus regulations allow.
